About.

James Kirby is a filmmaker and colourist, half Thai and half British, based in Chiang Mai. He shoots, grades and cuts films for brands and creators, and builds his own film looks from published film data.

He is the lead videographer and colourist at RealSpace Creative, filming for the restaurants and brands around Chiang Mai. He makes and presents the Instagram reels for CMD Careers in Britain, which passed a million views in 90 days, and graded the sales films of Cassie Schoonover, a creator with more than 652,000 followers. His own work goes out as James Kirby Nostalgia, with clients including The Bowl Spot, Mandorla Sicilian Bistrot, Brook Falls Deli, Lanna Padel, Cosmo Local, Sim4Business and Snake Brand UK.

Before the films there were songs: filming himself playing them is how he learned to use a camera. He has also written two books of poetry. Music and writing.
